South Director AR Murugadoss’s recent release Kaththi starring Vijay, Samantha and Neil Nitin Mukesh has become the biggest Tamil hit of 2014. Despite mixed reviews, Kaththi has taken the box office by storm and entered Rs.100 crore club within 12 days of its release. Now the latest buzz is that Murugadoss is apparently planning to rope in the popular ‘partners’ Salman Khan and Govinda for the remake. The ‘Ghajini’ director recently posted a picture of Salman Khan and Govinda along with him on Twitter.
Since Akshay and Murugadoss worked together in Holiday- A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, people thought they could see duo team up again. But Murugadoss is more keen to sign Salman, as he knows the kind of fan following he has. The Dabaang star who has a zeal for remakes can step into Vijay’s shoes and his Partner co-star can reprise the role of Neil Nitin Mukesh who played the baddie in original.
‘Kaththi’ is about a common man’s fight against a corrupt corporate company, which desires to acquire the lands of the poor.
